Install the Chrome Extension

Download and install Viewmento from the Chrome Web Store, then pin it to your browser bar for instantaneous access on any YouTube video.

Instant Hotkey Ingestion

While watching any video on YouTube, press Alt + V (or Cmd + Shift + V on macOS) to open Viewmento in your workspace with the transcript and timestamps pre-synchronized.

  • Open Viewmento in Google Chrome on your Android phone.
  • Tap the three dots (⋮) menu in the upper-right corner and select "Install app" (or "Add to Home screen").
  • Once installed, open the YouTube app, tap Share on any video, and tap Viewmento to immediately ingest it.

  • Install PWA: In Safari on iPhone, tap Share → Add to Home Screen for the standalone app experience.
  • Native Share Sheet: Apple restricts web apps from receiving shares directly. You can enable 1-tap sharing using an Apple Shortcut:
